Discover 'The Journey To YOU'

"The need to be perfect is like an incubator for
stress and therefore creates illness. The need for
perfection is Ego based and comes with a daily
session of self punishment as the desired result is
never achieved. The Ego thrives on this failure as
when we are in pain the Ego is more alive."
- Tina Crumpacker -
(From, 'The Journey To You')

Tina's quote from her, life transforming, book 'The Journey
To You', is so true. Our Ego is a tricky one! The Ego
uses our pain and suffering as food for it's survival
and gains more strength, the more pain we experience.

The Ego will use any tool it can, any personality quirk,
any addiction and any un-empowering belief planted
in our subconscious, to feed itself and gain strength.

Your need to 'Be Perfect' is one of your Ego's favorite
weapons against you. The reason why this drive for
perfection is a form of self punishment and causes illness,
is because it is IMPOSSIBLE to be perfect in the way
the Ego seeks perfection, through the perceptions of
our personality.

How can we strive for perfection, when we are already
DIVINELY PERFECT??? We are already Divine Perfection,
being one with the all loving source that we emanated from!

It's Time To End Your Unconscious Addiction To Trends

We must free ourselves from being mindless victims of trends. Many people lose sight of their 'True Self', while trying to 'keep up with the Jones's ' or trying to be what they think society expects them to be.

People find more importance in knowing who won American Idol or having the most popular brand clothing or accessories, rather than spending time on self reflection to find out who they truly are and what their highest purpose is here.

We get so caught up in this material world and all of the sensory pleasures and mental distractions, that we begin to get unconsciously addicted to them and seek more and more. This becomes our normal mode of being and we are not even aware of it, because we have lost our awareness of self, our true self.

When we are in this unconscious cycle, we will never feel truly satisfied. This unconscious way of being leads us to a life of escapism. We are continuously seeking external pleasures and mental distractions to escape the truth of who we really are. This becomes such a seemingly natural way of being, that when we do get those rare quiet moments alone, we feel extremely uncomfortable and uneasy. So we turn on the TV, eat food, numb our senses with drugs and alcohol, call someone on the phone or anything else we can do to distract ourselves from getting to know our inner truth. Escapism is a way of living that 98% of society, especially in bigger, 'more modern' countries, is addicted to and they have no idea they have this addiction. To them, it is just 'normal living' and it's just 'who they are'.

If you are ready to stop being an unconscious victim to the trends and expectations set by the media, commercials, advertising agencies, mass thinking, etc., and become a conscious living master of your life. Then you must begin to practice self awareness. You must begin to ask yourself 'why' you are doing the things you do. You must start asking yourself, 'Why am I here?'. You must start to ask yourself, 'Who am I?', 'Who is my true self?'.

It is only from this place of genuine self reflection, that we can reach true self awareness and truly be happy at a soul level. Know that you have the power within you to rise above the masses and be a true enlightened spiritual master of your life.

Addictions

What are you addicted to?

You may be addicted to things and
not even realize it.

So many times when people think of
addiction, they associate it with drugs
or alcohol.

There are many other things that people
are addicted to besides from drugs and
alcohol.

Here are some examples of things that people
can be addicted to:
  • Sweets (Sugar)
  • Caffeine
  • T.V.
  • Sex
  • Porn
  • Adultery
  • Lying
  • Soap Operas
  • Buying Things (Books, Gadgets, Cookie Jars, etc....)
  • Shopping
  • Relationships
  • Drama
  • Prescription Meds
  • Drugs
  • Alcohol
  • Cigarettes
  • Tobacco
  • Movies
  • Food
  • Comfort Eating
  • Over Eating
  • Self Ridicule
  • Judging Self and Others
  • Plus Much More!
What are you addicted to?

The definition for addiction in the
'Wiktionary' (The dictionary on wikepedia.com)
is the following:

Addiction:
  1. The state of being addicted; devotion; inclination.
  2. A habit or practice that damages, jeopardizes or shortens one's life but when ceased causes trauma.
  3. A pathological relationship to mood altering experience that has life damaging consequences.
I will add, it is an act that you do not have control over,
it controls you.

Think about television. Many people are addicted to t.v. and
don't realize it. Do you get 'bent out of shape' if you miss your
favorite show? Can you come home from work and spend an
evening without turning on the t.v., and not feel completely
uncomfortable?

What things on the list above, or things that are not on that
list, if you stop doing them for any length of time, you will
feel completely uncomfortable and have your mood effected?

If you cannot stop doing something, without feeling completely
off, uncomfortable and have your mood affected in an adverse
way, you are probably addicted.

Take a closer look at your life. What is controlling you? Look
at everything in your life, that you thought you were in control
of, and imagine not doing those things for 30 days. How would
that feel for you?

Put yourself to the test and stop that thing for 30 days? Can you???

You have the power to take control of your life!
